Chiara, the popular Maltese artist who represents her country for the third time in the Eurovision Song Contest, has just confirmed her participation in the Greek final as one of the guest stars. She will join three more of this year's participants and she will perform her entry What if we.

Chiara is the fourth confirmed 2009 Eurovision entrant in the Greek final to be held on the 18th February at the Athinon Arena in Athens. She will be joining Andrea Demirovic from Montenegro, Petr Elfimov from Belarus and Christina Metaxa from Cyprus.

The Greek final is the second most popular show in the country after the Eurovision Song Contest final with TV ratings around 80%. This year, ERT will be presenting a special show dedicated to past Eurovision editions. It will start at 9.10 CET on the night of 18th February and it will be broadcast live on ERTsat, NET, and webcast on ert.gr and eurovision.tv. The Greek broadcaster has taken every measure to ensure that this year there will be no problems whatsoever with the live streaming so as to give as many international fans as possible the opportunity to watch the country's final online.

Thanks to Johnny Logan and Hold me now I fell in love with the Eurovision Song Contest, a love that's been going strong ever since with undiminished passion. My first memories date back to 1977 and the lyrics of Rock bottom, Dschinghis Khan and A ba ni bi are still engraved in my brain.

I joined esctoday.com in 2006 as a junior editor after being invited by Barry Viniker, I soon became Senior Editor and during the 2007 contest in Helsinki I was appointed Head of Communications. Today I hold the post of Head of Human Resources and I am proud to be working with the best editorial team in the world.
