The first of three quarter finals for A Dal 2016, the Hungarian national selection process takes place tonight.

The show is broadcasted live from Budapest at 19.40 CET and shows on MTVA’s channels Duna and Duna World, and also on line at mediaklikk.hu/dal. It is hosted by television presenter Csilla Tatár.

The entries for tonight’s show are

- Odett – Stardust
- Reni Tolvai – Fire
- Jázmin Török – Power of love
- Petra Veres-Kovács – Singing Peace
After each song, a four member jury, that consists of prominent Hungarian composers and performers, will give each entry a score from 1 to 10, then the pubic will be able to vote throughout the show via sms, online or mobile phone app. The five acts with the highest combined jury/public scores will move straight forward to the semi final, then the act with the highest public scores our of the five remaining acts will also move forward in the competition.
According to ESCToday’s National Chart, the qualifiers of tonight’s show are expected be Freddie, Reni Tolvai, Odett, Mushu, ByTheWay and Jázmin Török.
The next two quarter finals take place on 20 January, and 6 February, followed by two semi finals on 13 and 20 February, and the final a A Dal 2016, where Hungary will decide who their entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 will take place on 27 February
