The professional jury formed by people not related to the Andorran broadcaster RTVA have been in discussions today with the aim of choosing the lucky names that will compete to represent Andorra in Moscow. The results were announced a few minutes ago on the ATV news.

Three contestants have been selected to enter the Andorran selection process in January:

• Susanna Georgi – Get a life. Danish born, Susanna was Denmark's spokesperson in Eurovision 2007. Susanna was a half of the duo Me & My. Her song will be translated into Catalan.
• Marc Durandeau & Marc Canturri – Estrelles d'or (Gold stars). The latter is a popular lyric singer in Andorra, and Marc Durandeau has gained fame as singer and composer. Their entry refers to peace and the union of Europe.
• Lluís Cartes – Exhaust. Lluís has gained a place in the Andorran-Catalan music scene. Back in 2005, he won the Sona9 contest as singer-songwriter and the Carles Sabater award to the best song in Catalan. MySpace .

Besides, more details concerning the Andorran final to choose their entrant for 2009 have been revealed. The show will be hosted by Meri Picart, well known to Andorran as she is a popular face on their TV scene and responsible for musical contents at RTVA. Meri Picart is already familiar to Eurovision since she hosted the country's selection heats back in 2004 and was the Andorran commentator for that year's Eurovision Song Contest, together with Lluís Trabal.

The venue where the final will be held is the Apolo Andorra Hall, formerly known as Àngel Blau, in Andorra la Vella. The show will be aired live in January. The exact date has not been yet announced.
