MRT is searching for a new selection procedure to decide this year�s representative in the Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Moscow. Due to some criticism concerning the country's finals in the last years, weekly debate programmes on Saturday are being held, also to make the discussion accessible to the public.
The first discussion round already went on air last Saturday and the purpose of those debates is to gain new opinions and suggestions in order to provide a fair and successful method to select the next Eurovision Song Contest participant of FYR Macedonia. The panels will comprise respected journalists, composers, producers, singers, former Eurovision Song Contest participants, as well as representatives of OGAE Macedonia. Some of the guests of the open programme are Jovan Jovanov (composer of FYR Macedonia 2004 and popular singer himself), Grigor Koprov (composer of Montenegro 2008, FYR Macedonia 2007 and 1998), Kire Kostov, Ognen Nedelkovski (lyricist of Montenegro 2008 and FYR Macedonia 2007) and Vladimir Dojcinovski.
