Brainstorm the internationally acclaimed Latvian band will be giving a concert in Riga on the 9th of August at the Mezaparks Song Festival Grounds. Eurovision fans will be familiar with Brainstorm as they kicked off Latvia's debut at the Eurovision Song Contest back in 2000 in Stockholm. The boys from Latvia achieved a 3rd place at the contest with their song My Star, thus attracting a varied European audience and fan following.

Brainstorm will also be having a concert in Valmiera, Latvia on the 7th of August at the Jana Dalina Stadium kicking off at 20.30 EET. This will be followed by the concert in Riga on the 9th of August at the Mezaparks Song Festival Grounds scheduled to be held at 20.20hrs EET. The band has been touring Latvia andRussia promoting their latest album Tur Kaut Kam Ir Jabut. The promo tour has taken them to Moscow, Kaliningrad, St.Petersburg, Ventspils and Jelgava.

Lead singer Renars Kaupers has been on the Eurovision stage on 3 ocassions: he represented Latvia at the 2000 Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm with the band Brainstorm, he has hosted the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest in Riga along with Marija Naumova( Eurovision 2002 winner), he was the co host of the special Eurovision Congratulations Show in Copenhagen in 2005 along with Katrina (Eurovision 1997 winner).
