The Norwegian broadcaster NRK announced the 12 participants and their songs of the national final Melodi Grand Prix 2003.

Kikki, Bettan and Lotta are the only well known artists on the shortlist. If they win and represent Norway in Riga, Elisabeth Andreassen will be the only artist to have participated (as a soloist or in a group) five times in the Eurovision Song Contest.

A remarkable song title is Good evening Europe, which is definately a reference to the Eurovision Song Contest!
