In the Irish selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2003, You're a star, Azi Jerbefume (picture) and Catherine Yore received the lowest number of votes and had to leave the show. Nine participants are left in the battle for the ticket to Riga.

From February 9 the Irish broadcaster RTÉ will present the songs available for Riga to the television viewer. The final of the show will take place at March 8. Rumours say that four songs have been composed, so it seems clear that on February 9 four participants are left.

This was today's ranking:

1. Simon Casey
2. Mickey Harte
3. Brian Ormond (a previous winner)
4. Lisa Bresnan (a previous winner)
5. Susan McFadden
6. Michael Leonard
7. McElhinney Twins
8. Joanne Fahy
9. Sarah Brophy
