The responsible for the national final of the broadcaster PSB BiH, Senad Had�ifejzović, announced that the national final of Bosnia and Herzegovina has been postponed with one week, from 22 February to 1 March. For the very first time, the winner of the Bosnian final, known as Eurosong 2003, will be selected through the use of televoting. Untill now a professional jury has been used every year.
Earlier we reported that the Bosnian broadcaster was undecided whether to include 16 or 20 entries in the national final, as well as which of two possible venues should be used for organizing the event. These doubts have now been cleared. There will be 16 songs in the Bosnian final, which will take place in the city hall of Skenderija, located in Sarajevo.
PSB BiH will broadcast previews of all the 16 songs in the week before the national final. A compilation CD with all the entries in Eurosong 2003, will most certainly be released sometime in February.
Seven of the sixteen finalists have already been chosen by the broadcaster. Exactly which names we are talking about is yet unsure, but the three artists esctoday.com earlier unvealed had been confirmed, are said to be among those seven.
Rumours are suggesting that the popular male singer Fuad Backović, better known as Deen, will enter Eurosong 2003. Deen has participated twice in the Bosnian final. In 1999 he reached third position with his former band Seven Up and their song Daj spusti se. In 2001 he performed 10 miliona ljubavi all by himself, giving him a seventh place. On his website you can download nine short audio clips of 30 seconds duration from his last album, called Ja sam vjetar zaljubljeni, as well as two complete songs.
