Head of OGAE Finland and consultant of the Ukrainian national broadcaster NTU, Martti Immonen, told esctoday.com exclusively that Olexandr Ponomaryov will represent Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 in Riga.

Already a few months ago the name of Ponomaryov popped up on the internet. Yesterday it was said by spaesc.tk that Sofia Rotaru would represent the new country at the Eurovision Song Contest, but it appeared to be a false rumour.

“Ponomaryov's song will be selected internally, which will take place somewhere in February”, Martti Immonen told us.
