The band who will perform entry number eleven in the Polish national final Eurowizja 2003, Blue Café, was last year nominated to the MTV Music Awards. It should not be considered as a coincidence that they are one of the favourites among Polish Eurovision fans to win the national final on 25 January. Major parts of their song You may be in Love, is now available for downloading as a video file through the Polish web portal cgm.pl.

The three year old Polish band Blue Café consists of eight musicans, out of whom the female artist Tatiana Okupnik (picture) is the lead singer. The male keyboard player Pawel Rurak-Sokal (picture) is the composer of their songs, which include a wide range of styles, especially more funky music like jazz and even hip-hop. The different band members play several types of guitar, as well as saxophone, trumpet, trombone, drums and of course keyboard.

Since they are only allowed to bring six of their members on stage in Riga's Skonto Hall, if they should happen to win the Polish national final, they will have to prerecord parts of their entry: “I will have to make difficult decisions concerning who of the musicans should perform live on stage. However, we would all travel together to Riga, if televiewers want us to represent Poland,” Pawel Rurak-Sokal told in an interview with the website eurowizja.com.

Their song You may be in Love, is rather original and is said even to surprise fans of the group: “Although the tune fits in Blue Café's style, the song is quite
unusual. We invited some artists from South Korea to participate in the recording of the song. So, it will be quite surprising for our fans and not only for them,”
Pawel added.

The song was this morning available in its full lenght as an audio file from eurowizja.com, but was later removed. However, the Polish web portal cgm.pl is today offering their readers the opportunity to download a video clip of ten minutes duration, which shows some moments from the production of the commercial video which will promote their song You may be in Love.

Blue Café released their first album last year, called Fanaberia, and their second CD will be in the stores somewhere in March or April.

Entirely depending on the work realized by the team behind eurowizja.com, Eurovision fans throughout Europe have at the moment the possibility of downloading five of the entries in Eurowizja 2003, three of them in their full lenght.
