Michał Szpak has won the Polish national final and will represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016.

The singer topped the public vote with his song Colour of your life and will represent his country in Stockholm in May.

He beat competition from Edyta Górniak, who represented Poland in their Eurovision Song Contest debut in 1996.

The winner tonight was decided by a public vote alone.

Michał will fly to Stockholm in May to compete at the Eurovision Song Contest. At the contest, he will be performing in the first half of the second semi-final.

Last year, Poland was represented by Monika Kuszyńska. Her entry In the name of love finished 23rd with ten points.

Do you like Michał’s Colour of your life? Did Poland make the right choice?
