One of the contenders in Saturday’s Söngvakeppnin final, Greta Salóme has released the English version of her bidding song.

After competing in the semi-final of the Icelandic national selection with her entry Raddirnar, Greta Salóme has released the English version of the song which will compete in this weekend’s grand final. The English version is called Hear them calling and is written entirely by Greta.

Greta won her place in Saturday’s Icelandic Eurovision final after successfully qualifying from the first semi-final two weeks ago. If she wins Söngvakeppnin 2016, it would be her second victory in the selection. Greta previously won the competition back in 2012 with Jonsi and the song Never forget. In Baku, they finished 20th in the grand final.

Hello my name is Daniel Doyle. I am 19 years old and I live in Rushden, United Kingdom. My first Eurovision was in 2004 where I was given permission by my parents to stay up late to watch the contest. Since then I have been a hardcore fan. The first Eurovision I went to was in 2010 and I hope to go to more in the near future.
