The Belarusian national broadcaster, BTRC, has revealed that a total of 84 entries have been submitted for the upcoming Belarusian national selection.

Among the 84 entries which have been submitted for the 2016 Belarusian national selection include a few familiar artists who have previously participated in past selections. Some of the participating artists include Vitaly Karpanov, Pesnyary, Chistiy Golos, Valeriya Sadovskaya, Aleksandr Soloducha, Alex Gross, Jan Majers, Napoli, Provokaciya, Zombie and Aura.

From tomorrow, 26 November, at 12:00 local time (10:00 CET), open auditions will take place where the 84 bidding entries will be performed to the jury live for the first time. The jury will then narrow the 84 entries down to 15 entries which will then go on to compete in the 2016 Belarusian national final. Tomorrow’s open auditions will be broadcast online live via tvr.by.

The 2016 Belarusian representative will be selected via the public during the national final which is set to take place in the coming months. The date of the national final will be revealed in due course.

Last year, Uzari & Maimuna were selected to represent Belarus at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in the host city of Vienna, Austria. Competing in the first semi-final with their entry Time, the Belarusian duo received a total of 39 points finishing in 12th position.
