United Kingdom: Måns Zelmerlöw enters the UK Charts at #11

The 2015 Swedish Eurovision winner Måns Zelmerlöw  has entered the UK Charts with his winning Eurovision entry Heroes at #11.

Måns Zelmerlöw won the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna last week and brought the coveted Eurovision Grand Prix back on Swedish soil for the 6th time. He conquered Europe with his entry Heroes beating Russia into second place after an exciting 2 horse race during the voting.

Måns Zelmerlöw has gone straight up to #11 in the UK charts, having the conquered the hearts of his British fans. It is very seldom that Eurovision artists enter the UK charts. In 1982 Nicole from Germany entered to #1 when she won the 1982 Eurovision Song Contest with her entry Ein Bischen Frieden. Loreen (Sweden 2012) entered at #3 in 2012 after she won the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku with her entry Euphoria.

The young Swedish artist kicked off his promo tour last Friday and has travelled to Berlin in order to promote his forthcoming album and his Eurovision entry Heroes. Just before kicking off his tour the Swedish star flew to London where he made a short tv appearance on ITV’s This Morning.

Måns Zelmerlöw will be releasing his forthcoming new album Perfectly damaged on 5 June. Perfectly damaged has been produced and recorded in Sweden, Denmark and the United Kingdom. You can pre order the album on Itunes here.
