France: Eurovision as seen by famous cartoonist

The after-contest had a lot of media coverage this year in France. Reviews and reports mainly deal with France’s poor score, many asking whether should keep on taking part or not.

Famous weekly satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo has a whole comic strip by cartoonist Coco about the show and the French comments by Marianne James and Stéphane Bern.

The funniest remark is about the French singer Lisa Angell, “opening a competition on who will show its tonsils the better” (France, Russia, Latvia or Germany).

Only 4 points for France… 2 for each tonsil”, another cartoon writes in the same issue of Charlie Hebdo.
