The three experienced Swedish artists Elisabeth Andreassen (Bettan), Kikki Danielsson and Lotta Engberg are said to have received a green light from the broadcaster NRK to participate in the Norwegian national final Melodi Grand Prix 2003 with the song Put another Hand in your Hand.

According to the Swedish news paper Aftonbladet, the entries qualified to participate in Melodi Grand Prix 2003 will be announced by NRK on New Year's Eve. Nevertheless, the news paper dears already now, by relying on an anonymous source, to reveal that the three successful Swedish artists are among the 10-12 finalists who will compete in Oslo Spektrum on 1 March. There they will perform a rock tune written by a famous Swedish songwriter: “Their song has winning potential. Partly because they are really popular in Norway and partly because they'll carry on stage a strong, uptempo song,” the source said, and added that they had neither started planning what to wear during their performance, nor how their coreography would look like.

Bettan and Kikki have both participated eight times each in national finals, while the record of Lotta counts six entries. More than half of their participations found place in the eighties.

It was the Norwegian broadcaster itself which invited the three artists to submit a song for Melodi Grand Prix 2003.
