The lyrics of the twelve songs to take part in Finland's national selection for the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest are now online on the website of broadcaster YLE. Eight of the twelve songs will be performed in Finnish, four in English.

There will be three semi finals with four songs taking part in each. The top two songs of each heat will go forward to the national final on 1st March while the third and fourth placed songs will enter the second chance round. Eventually, eight songs will take part in the national final.

In 2007, Hanna Pakarinnen finished 17th on homeground with the song Leave me alone. In 2008, Finland will participate in the first semi final of the Eurovision Song Contest on 20th May.
