The semi final of Malta Song for Europe has been held tonight. From the 17 competing songs, eight were chosen to go forward to the final held this Saturday.

• Love is just the way – Rosman Pace

Malta finished 2nd in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 but was not very succesful the last two years: Fabrizio Faniello finished last in the final in Athens with I do while Olivia Lewis finished 25th in the semi final in Helsinki, thus not reaching the final with Vertigo. In 2008, the Maltese representative will enter one of the semi finals.
