The group Avalanche, one of the six acts to perform at the third semifinal of the Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix on January 25th, sees an important change in its line-up. The band's leading vocalist until now, Kristi Johansen, is abandoning the competition due to a throat inflammation. Camille Alvestad will replace her on stage.

Camille Alvestad is a 29-year-old singer who hails from Auli i Nes i Akershus (Norway). She is not unknown to Norwegians since she sang in another group previously, Reset, from 1999 to 2004, winning two golden records.

Camille is now debuting on the Norwegian Melodi Grand Prix stage. Tomorrow, January 25th, at the third semifinal to be held in Bodø, she will be performing the song Two monkeys (on the roof) as leading vocalist of the band Avalanche, thus replacing Kristi Johansen, who is suffering a throat inflammation.

The new Avalanche's singer has stated that “it is an honour to sing what Kristi was supposed to”, and she is looking forward to stand on stage tomorrow.
