The surprises ORF is holding for the Eurovision audience are endless! Above the arena, 650 hanging LED lighted balls will create a mesmerising Kinetic Sculpture which will accompany the acts staging.
During the semi-final allocation draw back in January, ORF revealed the animated theme of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Under the motto Building Bridges, the Austrians promised a spectacular show in Vienna.
Wahlberg, is a Danish company dedicated to light and motion design and are behind the Kinetic Sculpture to be seen inside Wiener Stadhalle. Their goal was to create a superb atmospheric lights experience, bringing to life this year’s Logo and Theme. With the help of technology, 650 LED lighted balls will be running above the arena moving vertically in a span of 5 meters and with speed of 1.5M/second.
Recently, Wehlberg, released footage from the rehearsals of the sculpture and after watching this, one thing is for sure; all of the shows will be incredible!

The Eurovision 2015 stage construction is ready and the last technical touches will fix the details. By May 10th, the video projection team will gather in Vienna to fine-tune the backdrop videos which will run during the Eurovision shows.
