Armenian public broadcaster ARMTV has the intention to return to the Eurovision Song Contest next year in Sweden. According to them, “Armenia in Eurovision 2013 will be on the list of participants”.

Back on March 7th, the Armenian public broadcaster confirmed the country’s withdrawal from Eurovision 2012. Jon Ola Sand, executive supervisor of the competition, declared then: “Despite the efforts of the EBU and the Host Broadcaster to ensure a smooth participation for the Armenian delegation in this year’s Contest, circumstances beyond our control lead to this unfortunate decision.”

Armenia debuted in Eurovision in 2006. Their best result to date was 4th in 2008 with Sirusho and the song ‘Qele qele’. Last year, Emmy did not manage to qualify for the final.
