According to elconfidencialmusical.com, Spanish broadcaster TVE is already preparing a national final to choose the country's representative for the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest, to be held in Belgrade. TVE has not confirmed nor denied it yet.

Although no details have been yet revealed by Televisión Española, rumours on a possible national final for Belgrade 2008 started fuelling weeks ago. Today, the music website elconfidencialmusical.com states that "TVE have already kicked off preparations to choose the Spanish representative in Eurovision 2008".

The format for this election would be a televised contest. Furthermore, this site assures that "several artists have been contacted by TVE" to take part in the competition. Those names are well-established in the Spanish music scene and some of them "rejected to participate" in selection processes for Eurovision in previous years.
