The time has come for Greece to select its next Eurovision representative, exactly 10 years after the Greek victory in Kiev, Ukraine with Helena Paparizou’s My number one.

The Show

NERIT, the Greek broadcaster, in collaboration with the music channel MAD TV have prepared a show that will select the act that will represent Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest in May. The main topics of the show, apart of the song selection, will be the celebration of the 10 years from Helena Paparizou‘s victory in the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest.

The Participants

This year, 5 acts are bidding to represent Greece in Vienna. One of them will be decided via Jury and Televoting 50-50 deliberation. Last week, NERIT presented the 5 participants and you can meet them through ESCToday.com presentation. The acts in order of appearance are:

The Show

Mary Sinatsaki and Doretta Papadimitriou will be the two young and fresh hostesses that will also present some of their hidden talents, under the supervision and direction of the none other than Fokas Evangelinos.

Guests

Previous Eurovision participants like Freaky Fortune & Riskykidd (Greece 2014), Loukas Giorkas (Greece 2011), ONE (Cyprus 2002). Helena Paparizou will be the super guest of the night, celebrating the decade after her victory. Helena will perform of course My number one as well as her latest singles Otan aggeloi klene and Love till it’s over. She will also pay a tribute to last year’s winner Conchita Wurst performing live her entry Rise like a Phoenix. Giannis Karagiannis, this year’s Cypriot representative will present his entry One thing I should have done to the Greek audience.
