The gossip magazine RTL Boulevard reported this evening that Hind will represent The Netherlands at the next Eurovision Song Contest. Tjeerd van Zanen who penned the Dutch entries in 1999 and 2003 is reported to be the composer of the song. NOS will announce the artist chosen to represent the country 16th December.

It had been thought that Gerard Joling would be returning to the Eurovision Song Contest to represent the Netherlands for a second time, however after making public the fact that he was in negotiations with national broadcaster, NOS, an agreement could not be reached.

Partner website, Songfestival weblog, reports that Hind was born 3 December 1984 in Gouda, the Netherlands. She did a performance of Vanessa Williams in the Soundmix show of 2002, reaching the final. She went on to star in the reality television show Idols 2003 taking 3rd place. In the same year she has sent a song for the Dutch final, but her song was not chosen. Her first hit single was Summer all over again. You can see the promotional video below. She has also released two albums, Around the world and Halfway home.
