Norway: More exciting times for Alexander Rybak

Life continues to be very busy for Alexander Rybak!

Not only has Alexander been working on Eurovision Song Contest projects in Malta and Belarus, earlier this month he hosted a charity concert for The Mercy Ships (www.mercyships.no) in Bergen, Norway and performed at a school in Eskişehir, Turkey.

Alexander is currently in Madrid, and speaks excitedly about a new project, and his love for the Spanish capital:

Pablo López, with whom Alexander has been collaborating, is a talented young Spanish singer and musician who was recently nominated for “Best New Artist” at the Latin Grammy Awards.  Check out his songs Suplicando and Dónde below, and visit his official website here.

Alexander Rybak composed the song Still here for Franklin Calleja which finished in third place at MESC 2015, the Maltese Eurovision selection show, which was won by Amber with WarriorStill here can be downloaded via iTunes and Franklin’s performance can be viewed below:

Alexander also conducted a nationwide search in his birth country of Belarus to find a girl group to compete at Eurofest.  The five piece group, named Milki, is hoping to win the golden ticket to Vienna 2015 with a song called My accent.  Alexander has written the song, which has been recorded and submitted to Eurofest qualification, and he will be hoping that My accent will be successful at the Eurofest final on Friday 26 December.

Alexander Rybak won the Eurovision Song Contest of 2009 with Fairytale.  A third Eurovision Song Contest win for Norway, Fairytale swept to victory at the Moscow-staged contest with a record breaking Grand Final total of 387 points.
