SMRTV, the Sammarinese national broadcaster has comfirmed to ESCToday that it will be holding a special press conference on Thursday 27 November in order to reveal more details on its 2015 Eurovision project and unveil the name of the 2015 Sammarinese Eurovision candidate.
The press conference will be held at 12:00 CET at the SMRTV headquaters in San Marino on Thursday 27 November.
The Sammarinese broadcaster has confirmed to ESCToday that San Marino will yet again select its Eurovision act and entry for Vienna via an internal selection as has been the case since the country’s debut in 2008 with Miodio.
San Marino debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008 with Miodio’s Complice. The country is yet to win the event, its best placing has been a 24th placing in 2014 when Valentina Monetta flew the Sammarinese flag in Copenhagen with her entry Maybe. San Marino has participated in the contest 5 times since its debut, having missed out from the event in 2009 and 2010.
San Marino qualified to the grand final in 2014 with Valentina’s 3rd Eurovision attempt for San Marino. Valentina represented San Marino in 2012, 2013 and 2014.
The 2015 Eurovision Song Contest is scheuduled to be held on 19, 21, 23 May at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna.
