Today, LTV organised a press conference to release more information about the national final Eirodziesma and the Eurovision Song Contest 2003. Although LTV earlier announced to publish the logo for the Eurovision Song Contest, it has not yet been released.
LTV published the logo of the national final, which is very similar to the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 logo. It's also called Rivers, but LTV does not want to release the logo to internet media to make sure it won't be spread international. National media, such as newspapers, can use it.
According to producer Arvids Babris, the Eurovision Song Contest logo will basically be the same as the national final logo, but it will have some improvements suggested by the EBU, more fitting for computer needs etcetera. The final approvement of the logo by the EBU will take place in late October or November.
November 29 the draw for the running order will take place, just like the presentation of the hosts. The Eurovision Song Contest 2003 logo will be published at the same moment.
