The Gigantium in Aalborg will host the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2015 on February 7th. The Danish Junior MGP will be held at the same place exactly one week later.

Aalborg has already hosted the Danish national selection also in 2006, 2007, 2010 and 2012. “Gigantium is the perfect place for hosting both DMGP and Jr. MGP. We had fantastic MGP’s in Aalborg and I know that they will bring the maximum out of the shows”, says Jan Lagermand Lundme, entertainment manager at the Danish broadcaster, DR.

Furthermore, DR also opened the song submission for the upcoming Dansk Melodi Grand Prix. The submission can be done online here, and the deadline for submission is September 8th at 12:00 Danish time. You can check out the rules for submitting songs right here.

“I would like to encourage songwriters to come with their best. The songs’ quality is improving from year to year and I hope that we will continue in this direction next year too”, adds Jan Lagermand Lundme.

Denmark was the host country for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest after winning in 2013 with the song Only teardrops by Emmelie de Forest. They were represented on home ground this year with Basim’s Cliché love song, who managed to end up in the 9th place.
