Now it is clear. In Germany, the two regional TV channels WDR (Westdeutscher Rundfunk) and SWR (Südwestdeutscher Rundfunk) will screen the Congratulations show from Copenhagen on October 22nd. Surprisingly, NDR (Norddeutscher Rundfunk), which is actually responsible for the Eurovision Song Contest in Germany, won't broadcast the show.

In the last two years, many people weren't able to watch the semi finals of the Eurovision Song Contest as the TV channel NDR can only be watched in parts of Germany, even via cable TV and DVB-T. After a last place in Kyiv, many feared, that the show won't be broadcast at all. Despite that, the anniversary show can be watched nearly everywhere in Germany. It will start on 21:00 CET, just as the Eurovision Song Contest always does. From 20:15 CET, in 'prime time' until the beginning of Congratulations, the SWR will broadcast another show celebrating the event. Tour d'Eurovision – Der ultimative Grand-Prix Report is going to look back on 50 years of the Contest.
