Soluna Samay, last year’s Danish representative in the Eurovision Song Contest, will perform at the 2013 Dansk Melodi Grand Prix as a special guest. Exactly one year after her victory in Denmark, Soluna will perform her newest single Humble.
Having worked for a new album with the songwriters behind her Eurovision entry Should’ve known better, the young Danish singer of Guatemalan origins is ready to present her new work to the audience during this year’s Dansk Melodi Grand Prix.
My favorite memory from last year is probably the moment when it dawns on me that song number nine won! It was the wildest experience. I did not expect to win, so in that way it was even wilder when we actually succeeded, the singer recalls.
Denmark’s national final will be held on 26 January. The winner will perform in the first half of the first semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest 2013.
