NRK has revealed that Jahn Teigen will join the line up competing to represent Norway at the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest. Teigen is hoping to be Norway's representative at the 50th Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev. He has previously represented Norway three times in 1978, 1982 and 1983.

In an interview with NRK, the veteran singer explained that he is currently deciding between three possible songs for the Norwegian national final that he has had a hand in writing.

Jahn Teigen sang Mil etter mil (Mile after mile) , while twanging his braces and kicking his legs. An achievement for which he was the first to be awarded the 'nul points' since the modern voting system was introduced.

Teigen went on to run Norway's only private pub-brewery and a naturopathic pharmacy. In 1982 and 1983, Teigen represented Norway once again. He also appeared in a bizarre musical Which witch in 1992 which received a pasting at the hands of theatre critics.

The Norwegian national final Melodi Grand Prix 2005 will take place in Oslo on 5th March. Teigen will join Cheezy Keys , Blissed, Jorun Erdal and Kathrina Strugstad with three further acts to be announced.

There are also strong rumours from reliable sources that Tor Endresen (Norway 1997) will be one of the remaining three acts to appear in MPG2005, however NRK have yet to confirm this.
