Today was the deadline for submitting songs to Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2005. Danish broadcaster DR has received 263 songs for the the Danish selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, 52 songs less than last year.

A professional jury will now listen to all 263 songs and select the 10 best songs for the final of Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2005. That final will take place in Forum Horsens on 12th February 2005.

Due to the bad result of Tomas Thordarsons Shame on you in the qualifyer round in Istanbul, Denmark will again have to try to qualify for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest during the qualifyer round on 19th May 2005.
