With the official announcement of rockband Donots (picture) and techno DJ Westbam, now 9 from up to 12 participants of the national final Germany 12 Points! are known. Two artists have announced their song titles.
Westbam (short form of 'Westfalica Bambaataa') is a well-known techno DJ and one of the biggest names of the Berlin “Love Parade”. His latest successful single was a tune named Oldskool Baby, sung by Nena. The Donots are a German punkrock band, based in Westfalica too. The had a hit with a cover version of the Twisted Sister tune We're not gonna take it a while ago.
With this, the current participant's list looks as following:

From January 12, music channel Viva is going to present the videoclips of these participants on weekly rotation. The German representative for Istanbul itself will be picked on March 19 in the ARD show Germany 12 points!. Shortly before the final, the broadcaster will be handing out up to three “wild cards” to commercially successful acts. One of them will most probably be an entry of former participant and comedy show host Stefan Raab, who is recently holding his own casting show, looking out for a decent singer.
