The Netherlands are ready to host the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest and have a hosting plan in place if Duncan Laurence wins the competition in Tel Aviv this year according to the local media.

Duncan Laurence is currently the bookie’s hot favourite to win the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, having gained much praise and popularity both at home and overseas thanks to his Eurovision entry ‘Arcade‘.

According Dutch news channel RTL Niews  The Netherlands is ready to host the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest if Duncan Laurence walks away with the coveted  Eurovision trophy in Tel Aviv next May, and that there is already a plan of action in place, if the country wins the competition.

A spokesperson from NPO told RTL Boulevard:

There is a plan with regard to the main points, but we will only really start working on it the day after the Netherlands have won the contest.

Regarding the financing of the competition the spokesperson added:

We will  look  into it together with the EBU.
