Malta: Battle of the Brothers concert

Two brothers; Richard and Wayne who participated in the 2011 Malta Eurosong, will once again go head to head, although the prize is not a ticket to the Eurovision Song Contest, The battle of the Brothers concert is in aid of Puttinu Cares charity.

Puttinu Cares is an organisation founded in 2002 and its aim is to support families who have children suffering from cancer. Wayne Micallef and Richard Edwards have organised a concert with prosedes going to this charity.

The brothers are no strangers to the stage, for many years Wayne and Richard performed as part of the group The Mics and participated in the 2003 Malta Song For Europe with the song Take me back again, the brothers have also participated as solo singers in more recent Maltese finals, Richard ended 2nd in the 2011 Malta Eurosong with the song Finally. Wayne has participated in the Maltese selections for the last three years and has always gained a top 10 position, most recently in 2011 with the song Everybody sing.

The concert will be heldon the 6th of May 2011 in Buskett Roadhouse in Malta. The brothers will take to the stage next month and go head to head for a good cause, tickets cost €5 and all the money raised, including donations will go towards the Puttinu Cares charity.
