The die is cast and it’s all dusted! Following a 90-minute show, live from the British of city of Salford, we got to know who will fly the United Kingdom’s flag on the stage in Tel Aviv! It’s going to be Michael Rice with the song Bigger than us!

The Eurovision: You Decide event was hosted in the United Kingdom by the Eurovision 2015 winner Måns Zelmerlöw and the English actress and TV host, Mel Giedroyc, following a successful course last year in Brighton.

The BBC introduced a new format for the event, which was divided into three duels with two battling acts each. In each duel, a song chosen by an international jury was interpreted by two different artists in two different music styles. During the first voting round, the winner of each duel was determined by the votes of an expert jury panel.

However, the final verdict belonged to the public; the three qualified acts went on to the show’s superfinal round, where the outcome emerged exclusively by televoting.

The 3 acts that progressed to the superfinal were:

  • Kerrie-AnneSweet lies
  • Jordan ClarkeFreaks
  • Michael RiceBigger than us
