Germany’s 2012 Eurovision representative Roman Lob returns to the spotlight in collaboration with the group StadtRand, releasing their first single ORJENAL.
Roman Lob and the rest members of StadtRand have known each other since 2014. Besides Roman, the group consists of Tim Dönges (guitar), Christoph Zimmermann (guitar), Thomas Mesenholl (drums) and Peter Geschwandtner (bass). They are currently working on their debut album.
The band presents music in Cologne’s distinct dialect known as Kölsch and as such is a new chapter in Roman Lob’s career, although he will also continue his solo projects. The first official single of the collective is ORJENAL (“original” in Cologne’s dialect), a fresh pop-rock tune that will surely do well during Cologne’s carnival season and beyond.
The song celebrates all of Cologne’s original girls – beautiful in any shape or form!
The band is very proud to present ORJENAL, as they shared on Facebook:
Partypeople, yihaaaaaaa! The video for our first single ORJENAL is out! It’s an incredible feeling for us to release the first single. We are looking forward to your reactions! Have much fun with the video. By the way, the song is available on all download and streaming portals… whoop whoop!
Thanks very much to Parago, Stefan and the whole team!
Partypeople, yihaaaaaaa 🙂 Das Video zu unserer ersten Single ORJENAL ist draußen! Für uns ist es ein unglaubliches…
The music video for ORJENAL, of course set in Cologne, was directed by Parago Seiler, directors of photography were Stefan Stark and Alina Lob, produced by JFL Lehner, set design by Kalle Arnoldy and David Gilles.
ORJENAL is available on all online music platforms, like Spotify, Amazon and iTunes.
