Madrid is gearing up for one of its biggest and most popular annual events, the Madrid Gay Pride. This year’s event will be running from 28 June-8 July, with a grand line-up of social and musical events set to hit the Spanish capital.

The Orgullo Gay Madrid (Madrid Gay Pride) will be marking its 40th anniversary this year. The majestic Spanish capital will be once again welcoming the annual gay pride with open arms.

Madrid will be bustling during the Pride week with an exciting and magnificent line up of concerts and activities arranged for the visitors.

Eurovision stars shine bright

A bevy of former Eurovision acts will be gracing the 2018 Madrid Pride stage and are scheduled to perform live during the numerous concerts in the Spanish capital:

  • Eleni Foureira (Cyprus 2018);
  • Ruth Lorenzo (Spain 2014);
  • Baccara (Luxembourg 1978);
  • Barei (Spain 2016);
  • Betty Missiego (Spain 1979);
  • Karina (Spain 1971);
  • Lucia Perez (Spain 2011);
  • La Decada Prodigiosa (Spain 1988);
  • Anabel Conde (Spain 1995);
  • Eva Santa Maria (Spain 1993);
  • Micky (Spain 1977).

Nuria Fergo (OT 2001), Natalia (OT 2001), Agoney (OT 2017) and Marina (OT 2017) are to also perform at the Pride concerts.

Eurovision fans will be in for a treat as Mirela and LeKlein (Spanish national finalists) will be also gracing the occasion.

Eurovision divas to set the stage ablaze

Thursday 5 July will see a star studded line up of former Spanish Eurovision hopefuls take the Madrid Pride stage at Plaza España, including Barei and Lucia Perez.

Betty Missiego, Baccarra, Mirela, Micky, Eva Santa Maria, Anabel Conde, Karina, LeKlein will also be joining the Spanish divas on stage during the Eurovision themed soiree.

The 2018 Eurovision runner-up Eleni Foureira will set the stage on fire at the Madrid Pride on Friday 6 July during the Final of Mr. Gay Spain at Puerta del Sol. Whilst Ruth Lorenzo, the charismatic Spanish Eurovision diva, will be gracing the Madrid Pride stage during the closing night Sunday 8 July at Plaza del Rey.
