It’s day three of rehearsals in the Eurovision 2018 host city of Lisbon today, in which it’s the start of the semi-final 2 participants’ appearances onstage for the very for time. Australia is the final country to take to the Eurovision stage for their first rehearsal today.
Day three at the Altice Arena in Lisbon and we’re continuing with the first set of rehearsals for the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest. Semi-final 1 is down, so today we move on to the second semi-final participants, joining the first 9 participants of the show for their first rehearsals.
Finally for today we say hello to Jessica Mauboy from Australia for her first rehearsal, ahead of her participation in the second semi-final on the 10 May with her entry We got love.
Jessica takes to the stage wearing a purple dress which seems like a throwback into the past. Stage colours fit in with the colour of Jessica’s outfit, featuring a dark blue and purple theme.
First look at Australia’s first rehearsal for Eurovision 2018
Again, it’s a simplistic performance from the Australian singer, with Jessica having plenty of energy and hype to fill up the arena and bring the message of her song across to the viewers.
At times, Jessica seemed to get into the performance so much that some of the vocals were a little off, but during a couple of runs following the first Jessica seemed to become more comfortable performance wise.
Jessica is active on the stage, always moving and dancing to get into the spirit of the song. It’s a pleasant performance, but we will see how the votes go for Australia next week.
