Swedish Eurovision 2015 winner Måns Zelmerlöw returns with his latest single Happyland and its official music video.

Contrary to the title, Happyland by Måns Zelmerlöw has a far from happy topic: it highlights all the ways humans try to avoid their real emotions, creating artificial pleasures that couldn’t be farther removed from true happiness. Only ego rules happyland, and it’s a lonely kingdom…

On a personal level, it is also a song about lost love and the way people choose to numb the heartache, getting stuck in resentment instead of searching for reconciliation, which is right in front of them.

In line with the song, the accompanying music video portrayes desolation and isolation. Yet Happyland has a happy end.

Happyland is one of Måns Zelmerlöw’s personal favourites, taken from his successful album Chameleon. The song was written by Joy Deb and Linnea Deb, Anton Hård af Segerstad and Ola Svensson, and was produced by The Family (Deb, Deb & Hård af Segerstad).

Måns Zelmerlöw presented Happyland in the Swedish show Nyhetsmorgon, where he also talked about his upcoming fatherhood, as he and his fiancé Ciara Janson are expecting their first child together, a baby boy:
