MTV EMA 2017: Many Eurostars nominated for London’s event

One of the biggest annual music events in Europe, the MTV Europe Music Awards is about to take place next month in London with artists from all over Europe and beyond participating and competing for winning an award.

This week, the world music channel MTV published the list of the nominated artists and it’s with great happiness that we report that many Eurostars are around.

The event is going to take place on 12 November at the SSE Arena in Wembley, London, UK.

Francesco Gabbani

This year’s Italian Eurovision hopeful, Francesco Gabbani, whose music video for his entry Occidentali’s Karma reached more than 150,000,000 views on YouTube is among the nominated artists for the Best Italian Act category. To date, there’s no other Eurovision entry to do so on YouTube.

Nina Kraljić

The famous Croatian singer and voice actress Nina Kraljić is a nominee for the Best Adria Act. Nina had made a quite memorableperformance at Eurovision 2016 but finished in 23th place in the Final. For her extraordinary dress, she received the Barbara Dex Award.

Amir

The beloved French-Israeli singer Amir, who took part as the French act at Eurovision 2016 is on the list of the Best French Artist nominations. Amir performed his pop entry J’ai cherché and achieved a 6th place in the Final, after a long series of poor results for France in the contest.

Loïc Nottet

Loïc Nottet, the young singer who represented Belgium at Eurovision 2015 and achieved an admirable 4th place fotr them is nominated as the Best Belgian Act for 2017.

Magdi Rúzsa

The 2007 Eurovision act Magdi Rúzsa, who gave Hungary a Top 10 placing after a long time, coming in 9th place is one the three Hungarian Eurostars to be nominated for the Best Hungarian Act award.

Freddie

He represented Hungary in Eurovision 2016, coming 19th and now he is among the nominees for the 2017 Best Hungarian Act. Of course we’re talking about the singer Freddie, who is enjoying a very successful career in his country over the last few years.

Joci Pápai

This year’s Hungarian Eurovision act Joci Pápai, who made an impressive appearance in the contest and finished in 8th place managed to be one of the 5 nominated acts for Hungary too.

 

Elena Temnikova

The former member of the 3-member band Serebro, which represented Russia in Eurovision 2007, Elena Temnikova is among the nominated artists for the Best Russian Act award. Elena left the band in 2014 and has been following a solo career since.

Sara Jo

The member of the female band Mojo 3, Sara Jo which represented Serbia in Malmö 2013 is one more nominated act for the Best Adria Act category.

Margaret

The name successful Polish singer Margaret, who finished 2nd at the Polish national final Krajowe Eliminacje in 2016 with the song Cool me down, can be found on the nominations for the Best Polish Act list.

Jessica Mauboy

The Australian interval act at Eurovision 2014, Jessica Mauboy is one of the nominations for the Best Australian Act. Jessica was a precursor the the upcoming debut of Australia in the contest, one year later in Vienna.
