In an exclusive interview with esctoday.com, renowned Eurovision Song Contest composer Mike Connaris discusses his entry in this year's Cypriot national final. His song Like a woman will be performed by eighteen year-old singer Nicole Paparistodemou at the Cypriot national final on 7th February.

Mike Connaris hopes that Nicole will bring similar success that produced the highest position for Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest, when in 2004 his composition Stronger every minute, performed by Lisa Andreas, produced a 5th place finish in the final. This is the best ever result for Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest.

During the interview Mike gives his views on why Cyprushas produced disappointing results in the contest since 2004. We hear how Lisa Andreas is doing these days and his memories of the 2004 contest. He shares his experience of producing songs in both United Kingdom and Cyprus national finals and tells how the people of Cyprus should vote with their hearts to send the best song to represent their country in the 2010 contest.

The Cyprus national final will take place on 7th February 2010, when 10 participants will compete for the honour of representing Cyprus in the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest.
