The 2017 Austrian representative is on the promotional phase of his Eurovision entry, as are most delegations. Last weekend, Nathan Trent performed his Eurovision entry Running on air in the German-Austrian annual festival Schlagercountdown 2017.
The public broadcasters of Germany and Austria, ARD and ORF respectively, organize that show. Pop music stars from the German and Austrian music scene that make the headlines each year take part presenting beloved and popular songs.

Nathanaele Koll, known professionally as Nathan Trent, will represent Austria in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017.
On 19 December 2016, the Austrian national broadcaster ORF announced Trent as their representative in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. His song has been released in February 2017. He was also on the shortlist for Unser Song 2017, the German national final. He was eliminated instead, as the EBU rules do not allow one artist to represent more than one countries.
Austria is set to compete in the first half of the second semi-final on 11 May in Kyiv, hoping for a place to this year’s final. The 62nd Eurovision Song Contest is going to take place on 9, 11 and 13 May at the IEC in Kyiv, Ukraine.
