Calling Eesti Laul fans! Estonia’s Eurovision Song Contest selection show is already set for 2017, with tickets to go on sale from next Thursday (May 5). The Grand Final of Eesti Laul 2017, which will once again be held in Tallinn’s Saku Suurhall, is scheduled for Saturday 4 March 2017.
ETV’s Eesti Laul has fast been growing in popularity, with such stars as Elina Born and Stig Rästa capturing the hearts of Eurovision fans. The Grand Final of Eesti Laul 2016 was held at the Saku Suurhall Arena – the largest arena in Estonia – and tickets were quickly sold out. As a result, fans are urged to snap up tickets for the 2017 event as soon as they can to be sure that they do not miss out on the best seats.
A trailer has been recorded featuring a number of this year’s Eesti Laul stars, including Mick Pedaja, Grete Paia, Laura, Kristel Aaslaid and Jüri Pootsmann, who, with his triumph in February’s Grand Final, secured his golden ticket to the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest in Stockholm.
Jüri Pootsmann will participate in semi-final one of the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest from a running position of 13th. Watch his message for ESC Today and the official video for his entry Play.
The 2016 Eurovision Song Contest takes place on 10, 12 and 14 May from the Globen Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.
