The 2009 Eurovision Song Contest entry for Germany has been officially presented tonight during the Echo Awards. Oscar Loya and Alex C performed Miss Kiss Kiss bang accompanied by a full band and ballet.

The 2009 German entry will be performed in Moscow by newcomer Oscar Loya and producer Alex C. It has distinct American influences and with it Alex swings Oscar sings hope to bring Germany a better place in the scoreboard. Germany has been participating in the Eurovision Song Contest since the first edition in 1956 and has chosen an entry every year since, but was eliminated during the internal semi final in 1996. In recent years, the country was not very succesful finishing in the second half of the scoreboard every year since 2005. Last year, girl group No Angels finished 23rd and hence equal last with Disappear.
