Slovenia: Klemen Slakonja to host EMA 2016

Klemen Slakonja, the Slovene actor, comedian and TV presenter, will host the Slovene national selection for the upcominng Eurovision Song Contest – EMA 2016.

As reported earlier, EMA 2016 is included in Dnevi Slovenske Zabavne Glasbe (DSZG) 2016, a long-term musical project of festival events, where RTVSLO will present music creators and performers of different musical genres in Slovenia. DSZG will include three shows in total, hosted by different people, with the highlight being EMA 2016 on 27 February.

Klemen Slakonja has previously hosted EMA 2011 and Misija Evrovizija 2012. “Four years have passed since my last TV contact with Eurovision, and I look forward to be a part of this circus again, in order to find the Slovene Moiro Orfei (the queen of the Italian circus)”, he commented.

A total of 10 acts will take part in EMA 2016, including two past Slovene representatives: Regina (1996) and Nuša Derenda (2001).
