The 2016 Australian participation at the forthcoming 2016 Eurovision Song Contest will be once again a collaboration between the Australian national broadcaster SBS and Blink TV.

SBS and Blink TV are yet to determine the method and mechanism Australia will use to select its Eurovision entry and representative for Stockholm. An announcement regarding the Australian Eurovision project will be made by SBS in the coming months.

Julia Zamiro and  Sam Pang will once again be SBS’s commentators and hosts at the 61st Eurovision Song Contest next year for the Aussie audience.

In 2015 Australia debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna and opted for an internal selection in order to select its Eurovision act and entry. Guy Sebastian was awarded the golden ticket to Eurovision 2015 and flew the Aussie flag in Vienna with his entry Tonight again.

Earlier today SBS confirmed its participation at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest. The country will return to the contest next year in Stockholm, but this time will compete in one of the 2 semi-finals scheduled to be held on 10 and 12 May.

The 2016 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 10, 12, 14 May at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.
