CT, the Czech national broadcaster has confirmed to ESCToday that the Czech Republic will select its Eurovision act and entry via an internal selection.

The Czechs returned to Eurovision this year with Marta Jandová & Václav Noid Bárta‘s Hope never dies after a 5 year absence from the event. The Czech broadcaster confirmed to ESCToday its participation at the forthcoming 2016 Eurovision Song Contest last August. The Czech broadcaster is currently working on its Eurovision 2016 project and is expected to announce the names of its 2016 Eurovision candidate/s by February.

In 2015 CT selected Marta Jandová & Václav Noid Bárta were selected via an internal selection in order to represent the Czech Republic at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest.

The Czech Republic debuted at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007 and is yet to win the event.

The 2016 Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 10, 12 and 14 May at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.
