Azerbaijan will take part in the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time in 2008 and tonight it has been decided during the national final that Elnur Gusseinov represent the country on its debut in Belgrade. He performed two songs, If you're never back and Day after day – if one of theses songs will represent Azerbaijan in 2008, will be decided on 15th February.

The line-up of the show:

2. Unformal – Lalala
3. Aynur Iskenderli – Swear that you will stay
4. Aynur Iskenderli – Rhythm of fire
5. Unformal – Little muse
6. Elnur Gusseinov feat. Samir Javadzadeh – Day after day

The winner was chosen by a jury of 15 people.

The first Azeri entry in the competition will be performed in the first semi final of the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest 2008 to be held on 20th May.
