Sebalter won the 2014 Swiss Eurovision national final last February and will represent Switzerland at the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest with his entry Hunters of stars. Switzerland will compete in the Second Semi-final of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest on 8 May.
Switzerland is one of the founder members of the Eurovision Song Contest, having hosted the very first edition in Lugano in 1956 and winning the very first grand prix with Lys Assia‘s Refrain on home ground. The Helvetic nation has won the event 2 times in 1956 with Lys Assia and in 1988 with Celine Dion’s Ne partez pas sans moi.
